Elegant Bridgerton - Inspired Styled Shoot
At Charlotte House, Lincoln
Charlotte House in Lincoln provides a beautiful setting for weddings, combining classic architecture with a light, elegant atmosphere.
This styled shoot brought together a group of talented wedding suppliers to create a refined, romantic look inspired by the soft tones and timeless aesthetic often associated with a Bridgerton-style wedding.
With a focus on natural styling, subtle details and relaxed moments, the shoot was designed to inspire couples planning a wedding that feels both elegant and effortlessly personal.
ABOUT THE SHOOT
The concept for this styled shoot centred around a soft, romantic colour palette of blues, creams and delicate pastel tones, creating an atmosphere that felt elegant without being overly formal.
The styling focused on clean, refined details — from carefully dressed tables to subtle floral arrangements — all designed to complement the character of Charlotte House while maintaining a relaxed and natural feel.
I was invited to photograph the shoot alongside Charlotte House’s in-house photographer, Stephen Gillard, bringing my documentary wedding photography background into a more editorial setting. The aim was to capture the styling in a way that still felt authentic, focusing on real interactions and natural moments rather than overly posed imagery.
DETAILS & STYLING
The table styling reflected the overall concept beautifully, with soft blue tones paired with neutral textures to create a clean and timeless look.
Floral arrangements added gentle movement and softness to the space, while carefully chosen décor elements helped bring everything together without overpowering the setting.
These kinds of details play a huge role in shaping the atmosphere of a wedding day, creating an environment that feels cohesive and considered from the moment guests arrive.
MODELS & MOMENTS
Working with three bride models, two grooms and a bride & bride couple allowed the shoot to explore a variety of interactions and moments throughout the day.
This created a balance between editorial-style portraits and more relaxed, documentary-inspired moments, helping to show how the space and styling would feel across different parts of a real wedding.
Focusing on natural interaction — even within a styled shoot — helps bring authenticity to the images and reflects the kind of moments couples can expect to experience on their own wedding day.
